After more than 40 years of loaning medical equipment to the community, the Rochester Northside Lions asked the Greece Ridge Club to take over operations and we were honored to do so and now the Gates Greece Club is continuing to serve. Thanks to the former members of the Northside Lions Club for all their hard work and dedication for more than 40 years. We especially remember Bel and Ellie Swarts.
The Gates Greece Lions currently have available for loan: walkers, crutches, canes, commodes, shower chairs, transfer benches, transfer chairs, and wheelchairs.
We do not distribute medical advice or make medical diagnoses; all devices are used at your own risk.
While there is no charge for the use of equipment, donations are very much appreciated. The Gates Greece Lions Club is a 501(c)4 organization. Contributions are not deductible for federal income tax purposes as charitable contributions but 100% of the money raised from the public goes back to the community.
Please bear in mind that our personnel are volunteers and as such may have time constraints and other commitments, so please plan ahead if possible.
We do accept equipment donations as long as the equipment is in good working condition and has been cleaned. The loan closet is located at 1299 Long Pond Rd behind the Annex building of the Greece Ridge Fire Department in a grey shed with the Lions emblem.
