Mencap Lunch

Once again Garstang and District Lions were proud to host the annual Mencap Christmas Lunch at the Kenlis Arms Hotel on Sunday the 15^th of December. Over 40 Clients and Carers enjoyed lunch and refreshments provided by the Lions. Garstang Musical Productions entertained everyone with a selection of festive tunes and carols and had everyone singing along with them. Father Christmas managed to fit in a visit during his busy schedule (with his new friend Lenny the Lion) and all the Clients received a special Christmas Gift. Special thanks must go to Andrea and all the staff at the Kenlis Arms for their hard work in providing such a high quality meal for so many people.

Fireworks and Bonfire

On an ideal evening over 2000 people attended the annual Lions community bonfire and fireworks which was hailed as a great success.

Bowling Evening

This year our annual bowling evening held at the Crown in Garstang was followed by the Presidential handover.

The winners of the bowling competitions were Ladies - Alison Lewis and Men - Dave Lee (although this followed a controversial bowl off where tampering and illegal footwork was alleged to have affected the outcome)
