Holiday Volunteering
at the Tree Lot

Every year, from the end of November through mid-December, the Fredericksburg Host Lions Club sells Christmas trees, wreaths and White House Ornaments in the parking lot on Plank Road in front of the Big Lots store. The revenue – nearly $20,000 – is used for charitable contributions such as eye and hearing exams for those who cannot afford them, the purchase of glasses and hearing aids, youth scholarships, diabetes education, school supplies, and more.

Our Lions are aging and very few of us can lift the trees and load them onto vehicles. In order to avoid having to pay people to assist us, we need volunteers who can lift at least 40 lbs. You can sign up as an individual or as a group.
