Peace Poster Contest

Each year, Lions Clubs around the world proudly sponsor the Lions International Peace Poster Contest in local schools and with local youth groups ages 11 -13. This art contest encourages young people worldwide to express their visions of peace. For 30 years, more than four million children from nearly 100 countries have participated in the contest.  The Frederick Lions Club is proud to host this annual competition for Frederick City school children and the poster contest culminates with an award luncheon in November.

Local winners go on to district competition, multiple district, and finally international competition with an opportunity to be selected as one of 23 merit award winners or as the one grand prize winner. Students selected as local, regional and international winners receive cash awards and certificates.

As of Aug. 23rd, 2018, Banner School, New Life Christian School aand St. Johns School students are participating. If your Frederick City school or Frederick City youth organization wishes to participate please contact our club.

All posters due to the Frederick Lions in mid-October for the club's deliberation. Student Artists recognition is schedule for the evening of Nov. 15, 2018
