 Spring-Summer 2020:

Cruise Night@Craftworks 2020 Cancelled

Due to the global COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, the Fowlers Corners Lions Club announced June 2, 2020 that Cruise Night @ CraftWorks will be cancelled for the 2020 season.   This decision is in keeping with the requirements of the various levels of our government, and guided by the expert advice being provided by local and provincial public health authorities.  All indications point to continued social distancing restrictions for some months to come, and we cannot host an event that puts the health and lives of our attendees, sponsors and volunteers at risk.

We look forward to a bigger and better 2021 Cruise Night season.  Our attendees and sponsors have been great supporters over our past five years, and we look forward to having them on board with us for the 2021 season.

Again, thanks to front line workers in healthcare, transportation, food service, emergency services, and anyone working to minimize the impact of the pandemic on our lives.

We look forward to seeing you in May, 2021.

REV IT UP FOR KIDS - Oh What A Night It Was!!

On the hot sultry evening of July 18th the Fowlers Corners Lions Club, John Dewar's Autosource and CraftWorks@The Barn hosted another first rate event for automotive cruise enthusiasts
and spectators.

Without the volunteers, from both within and outside the Lions Club, this type of event would not happen.   For many volunteers it was a long hot day, starting well before noon.
Some, started the day before with the lime lining of the parking areas, only to have mother nature open the skies and wash away their work.

Our volunteers were simply fantastic!

One of them, Maryann Chapman of John Dewar's Autosource, ensured the event was fully captured in the many pictures she took of the automobiles, winners, the band, etc.

The Rye Street Band provided lots of toe-tapping entertainment for the evening; this is the third year they have participated in this event.

Thanks to CraftWorks for both the use of their beautiful property, and sponsoring the Rye Street band.

Thanks also to the auto enthusiasts who braved the heat and humidity to bring their vehicles for display, and to the hundreds of spectators who attended in support of Five Counties Children's Centre
and Camp Maple Leaf.

So, thank you to everyone who attended, donated raffle items, or contributed in any way to this very successful event!!

Jimy Ray's, The Hot Dog Carts, and of course the spectators!

See you all again next year! " - Lion John Dewar
