The Fort Macleod Lions were chartered in 1939, with 17 founding members.
Significant Club and Community Projects
- The first outdoor swimming pool
- The little league baseball field and helped with the Westwinds baseball field
- Helped refurbish playgrounds and build a new playground at the soccer field
- Assisted with individuals in need, as well as buying tv's for the Fort Macleod Diaylisis Unit
- Collaborate with several different organizations to run our Duck Race
- Support senior mental health and wellness, by offering monthly crib tournaments for 40 individuals, also providing garden boxes at the Pioneer Lodge and Manor
- Support youth through donations to youth camps (Camp HEHOHA, Camp Jean Nelson)
- Own & operate the Fort Macleod Lions Campground
- Strong supporters of Air Ambulance (STARS and HALO) and built the helipad at the Fort Macleod Health Care Center
- Strong supporters of individual with vision impairment - Blind Bowlers, Blind Curlers
- Club is active with catering, table and chair rentals
