Help 4 Kids Florence is a program that supplies food packs to public schools in Florence County. In the county, 1 in 5 children go hungry or are “food insecure.” Each Friday children at risk of being hungry get sent home with a bag of food for the weekend, providing them food for Saturday and Sunday. Their goal is to fill the weekend hunger gap so these children return to school on Monday rested, fed, and ready to learn. The program is currently supporting over 2500 children.
