Broom Sale Fundraiser

 

Lions Shirley, Harry, Audrey, Lucille and Deborah Broom Sales at Pee Dee Farmers Market. 


Certificate of Achievement

 

Lion President Harry receives Certificate of Achievement from IPDG Les Taylor at recently held Zone Meeting. Club placed second in membership growth for the second half of 2022-2023.


Personal Donation

Lion Lucille Wheeler makes a personal donation to the Courtney Graham Emergency Shelter. The shelter is a Christ-centered community providing hope by serving the needs of men, women, and children facing homelessness.


Knapsacks Project

 

Knapsacks are filled with filled with pencils, notebook, crayons, coloring book, notebooks for those children facing homelessness.​ Lion Deborah makes a presentation to House of Hope.


Essential Needs

Essential ongoing needs delivered to Hope Village. The village offers hope to women and children for dignified, long-term transitional housing. Lions Audrey, Deborah, Stephanie and Harvey make delivery.


Tour Facility

 

Lions Harvey, Stephanie and Audrey tour House of Hope. This facility provides the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the people served at shelters. 


Cooling Shelter

Club donated food and water to Cooling Shelter established during these extreme heat and humidity conditions. 

 


Windy Hill Fire Department

 

Lions Deborah and Audrey purchased blankets for the Fire Department.

  

Certificate of Appreciation to Windy Hill Fire Department for financial assistance with kid’s project. Lions Stephanie, Audrey, Deborah and Harvey make presentations.

With the club’s next stop being the Cooling Shelter, the fire department donated water for members to deliver.

Vision Screenings House of Hope

Eye screening at Hope Village; homeless moms with children.  Total screened (moms and children) 13; eleven referrals. 


Meals Ready to Eat  

  

Lions Deborah and Lucille deliver Meals Ready to Eat (MREs) to homeless emergency shelter, village for mother and children and men’s shelter.

HANDS ON SERVICE PROJECT

 

Zone Chairperson Joe McNeil makes club visit and presents 1st place certificate for ‘BEST NEW HANDS-ON SERVICE PROJECT’ for first half of Lions year. Project ‘Operation Christmas Night Night’ provided children shoes, socks, shirts, jeans, card games, books, stuffed animals, and a book bag out of homelessness.

Lion Harry, club president, presents Certificate of Appreciation to Bill and Kim Medley. The Medleys volunteered to sale broom at their business location and have greatly boosted our fundraising efforts. 


Christmas Service Project

“Making The Season Bright”

   

Club members and volunteer shopping for clothing items and shoes for needy and underprivileged children. School nurses provided a list of items to be purchased for each child in the club's catchment area.

 Emergency Shelter Item

Lions Deborah and Audrey deliver emergency items to Courtney McGinnis Graham Community Shelter. The shelter is able to accommodate short stays for single men, women, and families working with a case manager to determine the next step.  

 


    Centennial Legacy Bench Unveiling

Lions Matt, Waylon, Deborah unveils bench with Centennial Plaque as part of B K Kelly’s All-Inclusive Playground. The playground was built for kids with all abilities to be able to play together as one.
