In October of 2014, Exira Lionclub chartered the largest Leo Club in the state of Iowa.  The Spartan Leo Club of Exira-EHK has a membership today of 54 members, 53 regular high school students and 1 foreign exchange studet from Denmark.  We are proud to point out that the Spartan Leo Club is very active in the community, in the surrounding area and int he state.  They are reknown for the many programs that get involved in.

One of the events that they truly enjoy doing is the Puppies for Pie, to raise money to sponsor puppies at the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility to begin ctraining of Leader Dogs for the blind.  This last year with the combine effort of the 46 member Exira Lion Club and the 54 member Leo club, 115 pies were made and sold to sponsor two puppies   We look forward to doing this again this year.
