South Edmonton Lions Club Actively Support:


Mustard Seed Church.

We support The Mustard Seed Church by sending a dozen members to prepare and serve supper for upward of 300 people four or five times a year, along with a cash donation to cover food and other basic services for the city's disadvantaged. 


Strathcona Place Society


Strathcona Place Senior Centre provides a stimulating opportunity to share a wide variety of educational and recreational activiti­es, including:

  • Cafe, 
  • Programs and special events, 
  • Various educational classes, 
  • Recreational activities,
  • Outreach activities
  • Opportunities to volunteer


CAMTA (Canadian Medical Teams Abroad)

For a number of years South Edmonton Lions Club have contributed money to help fund a health care practitioner on an orthopedic surgery trip to Ecuador.  CAMTA , an Edmonton based group, also provides "continuing education on detection and treatment practices for local personnel" in the communities they visit.


Hope Mission

Hope Mision bring hope to men and women by providing food, shelter and spiritual care. Hope Mission also works to restore lives broken by addiction through our Breakout (men) and Wellspring (women) recovery communities. 


Salvation Army


The Salvation Army is an international Christian Church.  They are committed to meeting human needs and being a transforming influence in the community of the world.


Edmonton Food Bank


The Edmonton Food Bank are stewards in the collection of surplus and donated food for the effective distribution, free of charge, to people in need in our community while seeking solutions to the causes of hunger.


Edmonton Christmas Bureau


Christmas is a time of caring and sharing, a time for family and friends. For 74 years, Edmonton Christmas Bureau have worked to make sure every Edmontonian in need enjoys a festive meal at Christmastime — warming hearts one plate at a time. Please help Edmonton Christmas Bureau provide families, seniors and individuals in need in our community with the means to serve up their own traditions.



E4C is an umbrella group that, amongst other things, provides hot lunches and healthy snacks to children in 14 - 21 schools in Edmonton.  Through our donation, they address "the condition that limit a person's ability to fully participate in community."




The YMCA of Northern Alberta creates life-enhancing opportunities for the growth and development of all people in spirit, mind and body.

CNIB is a registered charity, passionately providing community-based support, knowledge and a national voice to ensure Canadians who are blind or partially sighted have the confidence, skills and opportunities to fully participate in life. 


Alberta Cancer Foundation


Alberta Cancer Foundation strive to be one of the most innovative, philanthropic organizations in Canada by delivering transformational results for Alberta cancer patients and their families. They strategically invest in research and programs that have a direct line of sight to patients. They are taking a bold, new approach to speed progress and bring results to patients faster.


Lions Cavalcade for Diabetes

The MD 37 Lions Cavalcade for Diabetes Awareness committee has been raising funds to support Canadian Diabetes Association awareness programs for over 25 years.


Woodvale Community League (Edmonton)


The Woodvale Community League is comprised of the Greenview and Hillview communities and was founded June 23, 1980. From meager beginnings, the Woodvale Community League has grown to become a large, sophisticated organization dedicated to providing services to the community.


Royal Alex Hospital Foundation


The Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation inspires community support for the Royal Alexandra Hospital and its medical centres of excellence, including the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, the CK Hui Heart Centre, the Regional Eye Centre and the Orthopedic Surgery Centre.


Elves Special Needs Society


Elves Special Needs Society provides individuals with severe disabilities and special needs with a unique, individualized, educational or day program to promote their maximum development and to enhance the quality of life of the individuals and their families within a supportive and caring environment.
