The Duncannon Lions Club was started in 1947 by 35 Charter members. They met at 6:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Thursday at Hotel Johnston. Hotel Johnston was the meeting place until about February 20, 1958, when the Lions were given the Old Chapel on High Street for their use. The Lions Club building on High Street in Duncannon is where the meetings and dinners are still held.
