TEA BOARD INDIA Limited, Kolkata gave Capital Grant of Rs. 8.0 lakhs for purchase of Hospital Equipments

We received Rs. 5.19 lakhs for purchase of Doctor's Chamber Equipments from OIL INDIA LIMITED, Duliajan

We install Carl Ziess Perimetry (Field Analyser)

BSNL has provided Special Toll Free Service 1053 for Eye Donation to our Eye Hospital. Honb'le Minister Sri Prithivi Majhi, Minister of Revenue and labour, Govt. of Assam inaugurated this service

Sri Paban Singh Ghatowar, Hon'ble Minister for DONeR and Parlimentry Affairs, Govt. of India, inaugurated newly constructed ward " CHAMPALAL JAIN WING". After inauguration of the wing we increase Bed capacity from 15 to 21 in our Hospital.

We constructed new AC Auditorium in second floor which is named after our founder Trustee and past President Lion Radheshyam Agarwalla

We organised CME on PHACOEMULSIFICATION with Live Surgery on 4th August at Lion Radheshyam Agarwalla Auditorium of our Eye Hospital. District Governor Lion D. C. Roy, Dr. Divyesh P Shah, Tecnical Advisor, SightFirst, MD322, Dr. R. C. Paul, Dr. B Bhattacharyya, Kolkatta, Chairman and Doctors from all the Lions Eye Hospital of our District 322D and 62 Ophthalmologists from different part of N.E. were present to grace the occassion.

The Vision Foundation of India (VFI), Mumbai recently joined hands with us to fight Blindness in our region. For this they will give financial assistance for Free Cataract Surgeries. Till date they have given Rs. 2.25 lacks (in current year).

1. OPD Cases registered 6630 patients

2. Total IOL operations 1560 patients (Paid 421 & FREE 1139)

3. Keratoplasty - Since Oct. 2011 we have started Keratoplasty at our own centre and have done successfully Keratoplasty 27 nos. of Eye.

LION DRISHTI EYE BANK (Estd. 2008)

Activities (Since Estd.) from 2008 to 31st August. '12

We have collected 108 pairs of Eyes. Earlier the eyes were handed over to AMCH and Shankar Netralaya, Guwahati for Kerotoplasty (Transplant).

Now, we have started Keratoplasty at our Lion K K Saharia Eye Hospital since Nov 2011.

A Centre for Spastic Children

From 1st April 2012 :

1. Air Force Wife Welfare Association (AWWA) President, Nisha Singh wife of Shri Mirgendra Singh, Air Commodore, AOC, Air Force Chabua interacting with the physical and mentally challenged students of 'Blessing'. She also distributed Study material and Uniform to the students worth Rs. 10,000/-.

2. Our Students along with Teachers and Parents participated in 3 days 'DISTRICT OLYMPIC' for Disables held in Duliajan.

3. Our Special Students participated in 'STATE OLYMPIC' for Disable in Guwahati.

4. District Governor Lion D. C. Roy along with other Dignitories visited Blessing

5. Teacher's day Clebrated at Blessing's by felicitating the Teachers, Cultural program by the Students, followed by Lunch

Activities (Since Estd.) from 1989 to 31st August. '12

1. We have 48 regular student with 50 OPD students.

2. In last 3 years 11 students got admission in normal school which is a great achievement for us.

3. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt., of India has appointed 'Blessing' as a N.G.O
