8/19/2014 Cressona Lions, Wayne Township Lions, and Pine Grove Lions had a picnic at the Cressona Grove. The Cressona Lions got a new badge for our banner, it is for this webpage.DG Sharon Kimmel presented it to us. there is a photo posted on the pic page. Wayne Township Lions gave thanks to all the people that helped out at the Schuylkill County Fair including some Leos, 2 Leos attended the picnic i think Lion Paul said there were 18 who helped. the Cressona and Pine Grove Lions also helped at the fair. It was a great night

The cabinet meeting went very well today i met a lot of new people and saw some familiar faces. I found out we will be hosting a Pennsylvania state convention in 2016.
I just got home from the meeting, It was very productive. Just in case anyone was wondering here is a list of things we do in the Lions Club of Cressona.

We put together Christmas baskets a full family meal for families in need.
Recycle used eye glasses
We go to the Cressona Elementary school and read to the children.
This year we will be helping out with Light the night, it will be on the night Cressona has trick or treat, more information on that as i get it.
9/21/14 Tomorrow night diner meeting at Friedensburg Country Restaurant. Rev Drukenmiller will talk about a reading program through St Marks U.C.C. and the light the night event on Oct. 30th.
11/10/14 tonight's meeting was called to order at 7 pm with the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of America. then a prayer followed by the lions toast. no guest tonight. read the minutes from the last meeting then the treasurer's report, i commented on the web site and facebook pages. then we discussed the next blood drive wich will be December 18 in Friedensburg. We will be putting the Christmas baskets together on December 15, they will have a full meal for a family for the holiday. we are expecting 20 baskets this year possibly more. Next meeting November 24 Zone B get together
