Message in a Bottle

Do you take medication! This bottle could save your life!
Lions Clubs 'Message in a Bottle' is recognised by all emergency service personnel. All you need to do is fill out your medical needs and medication on the form inside the bottle, pop the lid back on and put the bottle in the fridge then stick the enclosed sticker to the back of your front door. In the unfortunate event you are taken ill the attending first responder will quickly see the sticker and locate the bottle and will know instantly what needs and medication you have. This saves time getting you to hospital and receiving the right medical attention you need.

SIGHT

We recycle your pre-loved spectacles! This is one of our key activities!

Recycling boxes are available in local schools, opticians and the Lions Den

HUNGER

One of our Signature Activites is to Feed the Hungry and during Covid 19 we ensured that Needy families received regular supplies of groceries and fruit and vegetables

We were able to feed needy families in Tattershall, Coningsby, New York and Mareham Le Fen; emergency food parcels were also delivered to New Bolingbroke and Billinghay.

Where there's a Need There's a Lion!

Before Coronavirus we provided a fortnightly lunch club for senior citizens

We collect food regularly for the Food Larders!

DIABETES

Diabetes Awareness is another of our Signature Activities

So we provide Diabetes Screening days

CHILDHOOD CANCER

Sophies Journey is just one of Childhood Cancer Charities we have supported

 

ENVIRONMENT

We own and maintain the Local Pingle Nature Reserve

Regular maintenance is required

But our members ROAR into action

And the Nature Reserve is a place of beauty and solitude for all to enjoy
