Congratulations to Lion Frank Neibauer on becoming the latest Cleghorn Lions member to be inducted as a Melvin Jones Fellow!

What is a Melvin Jones Fellowship?

Created in 1973, the fellowship is named for the founder of Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones. The Melvin Jones Fellowship is recognition of a commitment to humanitarian work. (It is not an award in the tradition of Lions awards presented for specific accomplishments.) The fellowship is an honor given to individuals who contribute the equivalent of $1,000 to LCIF, and persons for whom such donations are made by others. The fellowship is the foundation's highest honor and represents humanitarian qualities such as generosity, compassion, and concern for the less fortunate.

Melvin Jones Fellows receive a lapel pin and a personalized wall plaque in honor of their commitment to helping others. This is an international award and Lions members selected for this award will be forever recognized for that honor at Lions International Headquarters.

This year the Cleghorn Lions Club proudly presents the Melvin Jones Fellowship to Frank Neibauer in recognition for his outstanding support to Lions Club and his leadership in many events.
