Hello Environment Chairs and Friends,

The Multiple District 19 Convention happens in Surrey, BC this coming Friday and Saturday.

Attached is our Environment Team Report to the Council of Governors. We write this each Fall, Winter and Spring.  It is our opportunity to share our work with the Council.  This time, I regret to say, I let time get away from us building this report together, as we usually do.  Typically our report has photos and stories from all over BC, WA and N. Idaho.  We can talk in our next meeting about ways to collect our stories and share them regularly.  For this time, enjoy some info from President Patti Hill and some news about our presentations at various events. Take a look at the two videos linked in the report.

Speaking of events, our team is offering a seminar at the Convention this week.  On Friday from 4:15-5 pm, we will present a number of the Environment Service Projects we do.  We have slides representing work all over the district and will have presentations from Barak Gale on Recycling Reimagined, Steven Wong on the Legacy Tree Planting Project, Brian Scott on Upcycling Bags, Service Clubs Partnership work on Community Garden, and Building an ADA Raised Bed at a Community Garden.  If you are coming to the Convention and would like to do a 5 minute presentation on a Project in your District, please tell me ASAP.

There will be a Clean Up at a nearby park as a Service Project to the community.  Our Environment Team have agreed to be part of this.  Please bring "clean up" clothing so you can walk to the Park on Saturday morning with the group.  Should be fun. Hope we don't need our raincoats and boots, but bring them.

Thanks to all for our ongoing Environmental Service.

If you are coming to the Convention, please come to the Environment Table.  We will take turns at the table, talking to fellow Lions about our work.  Tell me if you are willing to take a shift.  If possible, bring display boards or brochures or photo albums of work in your districts.

Looking forward to seeing some of our team in person.  ....and seeing all of us each month online: 1st Tuesday of each month at noon.
