Camas Lions give back to community
The Camas Lions Club has had a busy few months giving back to the community. In February, the Lions from around Clark County gathered at the Staudinger collection site to sort through donated eyeglasses, prior to sending the glasses to the Northwest Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center to help those living in lower- and middle-income countries have access to basic eye care services. Camas Lions project provides beds for kids coming out of homelessness
The Camas Lions Club — known for its charitable work — has kickstarted a new project to provide beds to homeless children.
More Beds for Sleepyheads began a few months ago. The Camas Lions earned a $500 grant for the project through the Northwest Lions Leadership Institute. The Camas members matched the grant with another $500. Read more in the link above...
Camas Lions announce April Lions of the Month
CAMAS — Camas Lions are honoring club members Tim and Nancy Eubank as April Lions of the Month. They are excelling the club’s membership chair and marketing chair. Tim Eubank’s idea for the Butterfly Project really took flight, and Nancy Eubank’s new member orientation was welcoming, informative and fun, according to a news release from the service organization. Recently, the Eubank's took the lead on the volunteer summit.
CW COMMUNITY CHEST, ROTARY, LIONS CLUB ANNOUNCE 2024 GRANT AWARDS
The Camas-Washougal Community Chest and its partners, the Camas-Washougal Rotary Foundation and the Camas Lions Foundation, are pleased to announce the award of 34 grants totaling $134,000 to non-profit organizations delivering services, exclusively, to children and families in Camas and Washougal. Camas Lions Volunteer for Earth Day
In honor of Earth Day, members of the Camas Lions Club rolled up their sleeves to spread some springtime cheer on April 21. Casey O’Dell and Denise Davis focused on cleaning up downtown while Stephanie O’Dell, Tim Eubank and Nancy Eubank helped rejuvenate the garden near Camas Library’s beehive.
