Our motto Is “WE SERVE”
The Brandon Lions Club is the premiere service organization in Brandon, South Dakota. Our members work to provide vision and hearing services to needy residents and help provide other community needs. We also help support Lions Clubs International Foundation, the South Dakota Lions Foundation, the Leader Dog Program and the South Dakota Lions Eye and Tissue Bank in Sioux Falls.
The Brandon Lions Club was chartered in February of 1957. In the early years the Club was involved in coordinating the construction of the Tower that overlooks McHardy Park and the bridge over Splitrock Creek. They also were very involved in circulating petitions to establish the Brandon Water System and to become a City. The Club has always been very involved in the Brandon Community. Check out the “Project” side bar for more details.
Lions share a core belief that our community is what we make it. In addition to humanitarian service Lions enjoy fellowship and developing leadership skills. The first disaster aid provided by International Lion was the 1972 Rapid City flood.
You are invited to join us at a Brandon Lions Club meeting. We meet at the Brandon Pizza Ranch on the third Thursday of each month. We eat at 6:30 p.m. with the meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. With any questions, please call Dennis at 605-366-2387 or Lance at 605-376-1833.
