"Well, here at the Eliot we have been blessed with a guardian angel of sorts – The Boston Host Lions Club. I take a moment to thank this organization and its representative, they have done fantastic things for our school. One of the most exciting times of the year here in the middle school is the time when students at each and every grade level are able to select a book of their choice, courtesy of the generosity of this fine organization. The Boston Host Lions Club’s “Pick a Book” program has been a resounding success here at the Eliot. Middle schoolers excited about reading?  Priceless!"

The Gift of Sight

With the help of our Lion Linda Erwich, Billerica Lions Club and the OneSight program at LensCrafters, a mother was given new lenses sponsored by the Luxottica Group Foundation.

Our Global Impact

"Measles take the life of 450 children each day. Fortunately, this disease is easily prevented through a cost-effective vaccination. Boston Host Lions Club's donations will help vaccination efforts and reach children within some of the most vulnerable populations in the world. Because of your club's generosity, children will be able to grow to adulthood without experiencing measles. Thank you for your support of this important program."

Creating Opportunities for Blind and Visually Impaired people

"Due to the Boston Host Lions Club's partnership, ABC at Lion's Camp Pride hosted several young blind and visually impaired people for a week of outdoor experiences, crafts, and outdoor sports, including canoeing, hiking, and swimming. Due to their excitement we believe more children will be asking to attend this upcoming summer. The club's support will enable the Association of Blind Citizens to continue to create opportunities for blind and visually impaired people and we are truly excited by the encouragement and interest we are receiving from your club."
