If you visited the Hay Festival this year you may recognise these boys!

Every year they can be seen at the Anderson Brecon Ltd Car Park in Hay-on-Wye, directing cars.  Black Mountains Lions are able to use the car park from Friday evening for he weekends in May/June (including the Bank Holiday Monday)  Being a hard standing car park it is voted the best - especially in wet weather.  Our thanks go to Anderson Brecon Ltd for supporting us and to our intrepid helpers as they invariably encounter a shower or two....... !  The money we raise goes towards the donations we are able to make mostly to local causes.  Please see our Meetin page for full details of our donations during 2014/15.

Tombola Stalls  The Black Mountains Lions are to be found at several events during the year on their Tombola stall.  You can find us at various Fetes and at the Hay-onWye Steam Rally.  You can also Win a Lion and these little fellows are becoming collectors items - everyone wants one!!!

HOW CAN YOU HELP? 

There are sorts of ways you can help.  We collect spectacles that are no longer used and send them to a sorting centre and they are then sent on to be used abroad.  There are a number of collection centres so please - drop your old specs off.   We have just sent off another 489 pairs!

Easter Eggs.  About a month before Easter every year we raffle a number of HUGE EASTER EGGS.  They can be found in various outlets around the Hay-on-Wye area.  Have a go and indulge yourself! That's from one chocolate lover to another!
