2020 - 2022

WELCOMES YOU TO TO THE WEBSITE OF

THE BLACK MOUNTAINS LIONS

A belated Handover of office took place on 28th August 2020 due to Covid19.

We have been unable to carry out any of our fund raising events during these trying times and are sorry we cannot help more in our community.  As things become easier we hope we will be back in action again.  We have continued to have monthly Zoom meetings with only a few of our members able to join in.

We understand there have been a few problems with batteries failing in our donated defibrillators.  I am trying to get hold of our suppliers and servicers and will be in touch when i hear anything.

WHO ARE THE LIONS?

The Black Mountains Lions Club, founded in 1973, is part of the Lions Clubs International, an association of 1.31 million Members in more than 46,000 Clubs, located in 205 countries.

Lions Clubs began in 1917 as the dream of a Chicago businessman who believed that local business Clubs should expand their horizons, from purely professional concerns,to the betterment of their communities and the world at large.

The association network of men and women work together to answer the needs that challenge communities across the world.

..........................................................................................

Members of The Black Mountain Lions Club predominantly serve our local community based in and around Hay-on-Wye.  If you are interested in our activities & able to join us please get in touch

Equally importantly Members enjoy an interesting and varied social life.

ALL the money we collect has to be used for good causes; the overheads of the Association is met by the subscriptions of Members.

If you have any fund raising ideas or would like to help please contact us.
