We are proud to announce that  our 2023 "Welcome to the Hinterland" Dinner will be held on Thursday 26th October!

This will be our 8th ‘Welcome to the Hinterland’ Dinner and all new residents of the communities of Montville, Flaxton, Mapleton, Kureelpa, Dulong and surrounds over recent years are invited to come along.

This is a great opportunity for new residents to come along and meet other new residents, representatives from some of our local community organisations, some of your local businesspeople, enjoy a great meal, and be informed by guest speakers from our communities. Diners will have great company and lots of fun.

When:     Thursday 26th October 2023 - 6.00 for 7:00pm – (Canapés from 6:15)

Where:    Flaxton Gardens - 313 Flaxton Drive, Flaxton

Cost:        $55.00/person (Dress Code: Smart Casual) – ‘house’ beers and wines $8 each

Canapés and a delicious 2 course meal will be served by Flaxton Gardens and there will be raffle prizes generously donated by our local sponsors – raffle tickets will be sold on the night.

Tickets to this dinner are limited and will be issued on a “first in” basis. Bookings will close on Monday 16th October OR earlier if tickets sell out. To avoid disappointment, please book early. Tickets will be on sale at the Montville Post Office & IGA Xpress Main St., Montville and at the Mapleton Post Office, Post Office Rd., Mapleton. 

To purchase your tickets by a bank transfer (EFT). First: 

  1. Deposit the value of your tickets into the "Blackall Range Lions Activity" account using BSB 633-000 & Account # 196 345 433 with a Description of "WHD" followed by your name.
  2. Then click on this link to create a draft "Request for Tickets" email. Please be sure to add your details in the spaces "< >" provided and to attach a copy of your proof of payment before you send the email off to us
    On receipt of your Ticket Request email (and your deposit) we will email you your e-Ticket(s) for you to print out and bring to the dinner..

You may also purchase tickets by down loading and printing the attached Ticket Request Form and taking your completed form along to the Montville Post Office, Maini St., Montville or to the Mapleton Post Office, Post Office Rd., Mapleton where they will take your completed form and issue you with your ticket(s) for the dinner.
