  • Lions Building for Community Use- 1946
  • Operated a Carnival as a chief fund raiser 
  • Purchased land for community use
  • Donated land for school and swimming pool
  • Provided land for 3 ball parks for the youth of the community
  • Built the shelters at Riverside Park
  • Donated equipment for the Baxter Springs Hospital

  • 3 Ball parks are leased to leagues at no charge (maintained by leagues and many volunteers
  • Assist with vision needs in the community
  • Hold a banquet to honor local high school seniors for 42 years in their field of excellence
  • Maintain a paper/magazine recycling area for the community at our building
  • Our members are active in the community in many areas 
  • Pancake Feed Fundraisers twice a year
  • Sell Pecans as a fundraiser in the fall
  • Sponsor a Boys & Girls State Delegate yearly
  • Sponsor 2 Kansas Lions State Band Students
  • Cowboy Breakfast in conjunction with Cowtown Days
  • Sponsor a 5K run in October
  • Sponsor Second Saturday- an event for local vendors to set up free of charge and sell their wares
  • Collect used eye glasses at various points around the area
  • Support Lions projects at district, state and international level

  • Sponsor a Leo Club 
  • Maintain a roadside park and travel kiosk area between Riverton and Baxter Springs
