Founded in 1917, Lions Clubs International has grown into the world's largest service club organization, with more than 1.35 million members serving through over 45,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographic areas.

While Lions are widely recognized for their efforts to prevent blindness and improve vision, our service extends far beyond sight-related causes. Lions support a variety of community needs, including hunger relief, environmental stewardship, assistance for seniors and individuals with disabilities, disaster relief, youth development, and educational opportunities.

Through vision screenings, eyeglass programs, awareness campaigns, and international initiatives, Lions continue their long-standing commitment to helping preserve and restore sight. We also invest in the future by supporting local schools, providing scholarships, mentoring young people, and sponsoring leadership opportunities through the Leo Club program.

Our youth organization, the Leo Club program, empowers young people to develop leadership skills, build character, and serve others through volunteerism. Thousands of Leo Clubs around the world are making a difference in their communities every day.

Lions also respond when disaster strikes, providing immediate assistance and supporting long-term recovery efforts. Through the work of the Lions Clubs International Foundation, grants and resources help fund humanitarian projects that improve lives across the globe.
