EQUIPMENT PICKUP AND DROPOFF ONLY MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY 2:00-4:00. No equipment will be distributed or accepted during Book Sale hours.
The Avon Grove Lions Club Hospital Equipment Program was started by Lion Gene McDowell in 1987 with equipment given to the club by the Newark DE Lions Club. They donated a few manual hospital beds, several wheelchairs, commodes and walkers. The equipment is stored in a barn belonging to Yeatman Bros. Properties, located at 600 N. Baker Station Road, West Grove PA 19390. Since the program's inception, we have accumulated a large variety of equipment, which is loaned to anyone in the community who has a need. There is no charge for the equipment, but donations, which help us to maintain the equipment, are accepted.
Our equipment inventory may include: (inventory varies)
- Electric and manual Hospital beds w/ mattress [trapeze bars and side rails available]
- Electric and manual wheelchairs
- Electric Lift chairs [some that recline]
- Hoyer Lifts
- Geriatric chairs
- Walkers [with and without wheels]
- Bedside commodes
- Toilet seat extenders
- Shower and tub seats
- Transfer tub benches
- Canes and crutches
- Electric scooters
