Auburn Host Lions and our youth Leo Programs create, co-sponsor, and implement projects - small to large, one time or 'on-going' - with a focus on assisting the communities in the Auburn region of Placer County who face unique challenges and needs in their daily lives and endeavors to survive and thrive .
Typical projects include direct and in-kind assistance to: Acres of Hope (for single mothers), Auburn Assistance League, Auburn Senior Center, the Auburn Interfaith Food Closet, the Auburn Symphony, the Placer Nature Center, unfortunate fire relief efforts, the Center for Visually Impaired Adults, Sierra Ski for Light (skiing for disabled), Auburn Performing Arts (State Theatre), Armed Forces Pavilion & Community Garden, Feed the Hungry of Auburn, Guide Dogs for the Blind, several key reading programs for pre-schoolers, K-4 students and adult literacy, the Ross Relles Camp for the Deaf, and more single and ongoing projects - click here for more information about how you can help, and click here for local locations of prescription eye glass donations.
