The  Lions Club International (LCI)  was founded in 1917. Auburn Host Lions was established in 1927 as a part of LCI's growing, global community - today more than 1.5 million members in over 48,000 clubs in 200 countries. Lions Around the World Share a Dynamic Mission. Focused first on fighting blindness, with now over 100 years of volunteer projects serving many community needs -feeding the hungry, aiding children, schools, veterans, seniors, nature, disaster relief, and the disabled.
