Club Projects
The Almont Lions Club and the Almont/Dryden Branch Club support the projects of our Lions District, 11 - D2. These projects include: The Michigan Lions All State Band, Bear Lake Camp (a camp for visually handicaped Youth located in Lapeer County), Michigan Eye Bank, and Leader Dog, Locally we provide help in purchasing eyeglasses, hearing aids, Gift Certificates for food, support for community events such as the summer festival, Almont Homecoming, The Holly Days Lighed Parade. We provide support for the Cub Scouts, we are their Chartering Organization, the Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts. We support Girls softball, youth soccer, and the Almont and Dryden Community Schools. We collect and recycle eyeglasses, hearing aids, electric razors, and cell phones. We collect can tabs which we combine with tabs collected by other Lions Clubs, these are turned in for their Aluminun value, and the proceeds are given to Ronald McDonald House at Childrens Hospital. We have recently added financial for the Food Banks at Vineyard Church and Linked Hearts by donating to their accounts at Eastern Michigan Food Bank.
