Almont Lions Club
Almont/Dryden Lioness Branch Club
The Almont Lions Club has been a fixture in Almont since it was chartered on March 8, 1944. The sponsoring club was the Romeo Lions. In the year 2002 we sponsored the Almont/Dryden Lioness Branch Club, which we believe was the first branch club sponsored in Michigan. The Lions' Motto is: "WE SERVE" and that is precisely what the Almont Lions do. We strive to assist in the Almont and Dryden areas while contributing on the State, National, and International levels by contributing to our District Governor's goals.
The Almont Lions Club is one of more than 45,000 Lions Clubs worldwide, in 210 countries and areas, with a worldwide membership of 1.4 million. We are part of Lions District 11 - D2, which covers Lapeer, St. Clair, Sanilac, and Huron Counties in Michigan's THUMB Region. We welcome visitors to our meetings and encourage service minded individuals to consider becomming a member of the Lions, the worlds largest service organization. Fellowship...Good Times...opportunity to meet new people...building lasting friendships...community service...learning new skills...leadership...personal development, and travel opportunities are some of the benefits of being a member of a Lions Club.
