Lions presentation to a happy band of clients and Volunteers at the Walton Lea Project receiving cheque for £500. The money was donated at The Forge when Santa paid a visit.

Santa visits the Forge
Santa and Helpers at the Forge, Stockton Heath
Stockton Heath Lions combined with friends from Walton Lea and Long Lane Garden Centres to raise money for further development. The sites are run by the Walton Lea Partnership which provides supported employment for disabled people.

Stockton Heath Lions sponsor Peace Poster Competition at Bridgewater High School.
Lions clubs worldwide run a poster competition for 11-13 year olds on the theme of of peace. Stockton Heath Lions sponsored a competition at Bridgewater High School with the theme of Share Peace . The winning poster shown below has been entered into a district competition and if successful ,will enter country and worldwide competitions.

Lions Help Appleton mum of four
Wendy Pitts ,a mother of four,needed a wheelchair to get about and had one on loan from Shopmobilty and Warrington Disability partnership.When Stockton Heath Club club heard about her condition, they decided to fund the cost of a wheelchair for her.
The picture shows Wendy with Lions David Gartside and Paul Moir-Riches,her husband Chris, Brun Munslow and Janet Acton from WDP and Sue Davies from Shopmobility.
Together with The Guardian and Twins UK Ltd we were delighted to be able to help Ben and Joe.
Identical tots Ben and Joe Cunningham suffer from a chromosome syndrome called 7q deletion 31.1-32.2, a rare genetic disorder faced by only three other children in the world, which affects their development. They also suffer from another condition which causes them to choke and struggle to breathe. After we saw an appeal in the Guardian we stepped in to buy a special pram for them. The money we spent on the pram was raised before Christmas when we took Father Christmas around south Warrington on a sleigh and held charity stands at The Forge Shopping Centre and Morrisons. The Guardian report appealed to us as we allways try to help local people with the money we raise
