2014 Rob Worley Leadership Award

The winner of the Rob Worley Leadership Award for the year 2014 is Lion Jerry Williams. The award was presented in June 2014 by Lion Sandy Eberle at a regular club meeting.

For those members who are not familiar with who Rob Worley was, he joined SCL in 1994 sponsored by Lion Jim Morris.  He quickly went up through the ranks serving as President from 1998-1999, Zone Chair from 1999-2000, Vice District Governor from 2001-2002, and as MD19 District E District Governor in 2002-2003.  He was the recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow award and the International President’s Award among many.  He was married to Sandy Worley (now Eberle) for 25 years before his passing in August of 2003. His motto during his year as DG was “Growing Lion Leaders”; therefore the Leadership Award was established.
