Club Orientation Workshop:

The Membership Committee for the Lions Club of Masaka organised a re-orientation seminar for prospective new members and existing members of the Club.Two prospective members, Ms. Wanyana Elizabeth and Ms. Wesonga Lydia attended the orientation workshop. The topics discussed included the History of Lions Clubs International, Women and Family membership in Lions and a presentation about Lions Club of Masaka.

Donation of Food Items:

Five members of the club led by the Club President, Lion Njala Charles and Membership Director, Lion Birungi Florence Masambe together with Lions, 2nd Vice President, Lion Tamer, Kawooya Joesph and Lion Kiyimba Yusuf, visited the family of Namuwulya Bashira aged 4 years who is suffering from Hydrocephalus.
Members donated a variety of foodstuffs including sugar, bars of soap, rice, silver fish, soya flour, maize flour, salt, wheat flour worth 110,000/= and cash contribution of 75,000/= all raised from Club members and generous individuals within the community of Masaka District. She has been under the support of the Lions Club of Masaka since 2008.
Leadership Training Workshop
Lions Club of Masaka organized a Leadership Training Workshop on Saturday 24th August 2013 at Zebra Hotel from 9:30 am till 01:00 pm. 8 members of the Club attended the workshop alongside other Lions from two sister clubs namely Lions Club of Kampala City and Lions Club of Kampala Host. The leadership training workshop was officially opened by the Regional Chairperson of Region D, Lion Geoffrey Mwesigwa and was moderated by Lion Mbahamiza Edgar, District Officer Leadership and Training, Uganda. The workshop focused on the PST (President, Secretary and Treasurer) training as well as Membership Satisfaction. Trainers from the Faculty Development Institute delivered the above topics.
