Tribute for Mark McConney

Good morning, everyone, my name is Lion Pam Joseph, and I am the current President of Malvern Onyx Lions Club. In the book of Ecclesiastes’ Chapter 3, says, to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born, and a time to die. We are gathered here to bid farewell to a fallen Stallworth, Lion Mark McConney, he was our oldest chartered member of Malvern Onyx Lions Club, which was chartered on December 23, 2005. Mark continued to be a very dedicated and committed member of Malvern Onyx Lions Club. He served in various capacities such as the club treasurer for several years. He was described as a service minded person who was always willing to impart his knowledge when the time arises, a jovial person, a man of integrity, a committed, and dedicated member. We were very saddened to hear of his death, after a long period of illness. In the book of St. John Chapter 14, says let not your heart be troubled ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. We believe that a place has been prepared for our beloved Lion Mark, because he was a God-fearing person. He would be missed by everyone, particularly those who were very close to him. On behalf of the general membership of Malvern Onyx Lions Club, we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the immediate family, other relatives, and friends of the deceased in this time of grief.

May God grant him eternal rest.

Thank you
