Donations - Lionistic Year 2020/21
This was the year of the pandemic which restricted our ability to raise funds. Nevertheless we were able to make donations to worthy causes. Below is a list of the work carried out and the donations that we made to Local charitable causes as well as National and International.
As usual we carried out our annual Christmas Caring Toy Appeal but because of COVID-19 concerns we focused on issuing vouchers rather than toys and gave out over £39000 in vouchers. People still gave toys and a conservative estimate of toys to the value of over £6000 were given out.
We continued to broadcast our music programs on our radio channel at Royal Bolton Hospital on a daily basis, but were unable to collect and play Patient's requests on Sunday morning. We also continued to support the Message in a Bottle scheme.
Because of the pandemic we were unable to hold our usual Christmas Party for the Housebound at Drummond Street Centre.
Below is a list of donations made.
