2005 2006 Dönemi Aktivitelerimiz

İzmir ili içinde yapılan araştırmalardaki resmi rakamlar, 200 bin kişinin okuma yazma bilmediği ve bunların bir çoğunun bayanlar olduğu bilinmektedir. Bunun ortadan kaldırılmasına katkıda bulunmak ve Ulusal Eğitime Destek Kampanyası kapsamında, Okumaz yazmazlığı ortadan kaldırmaya yönelik faaliyetlerde bulunmak. Boş zamanları üretken olarak değerlendirmek için, vatandaşa yönelik özendirici çalışmalar yapmak adı altında Kulübümüz, 18 Ocak 2006 tarihinde İzmir-Konak ilçesi Halk Eğitimi Merkezi Müdürlüğü ile ortak yaptığımız çalışmalarla 2005-2006 çalışma döneminde 1 yıllık ortak protokol antlaşması yapmış ve bu bağlamda ilk okuma yazma kursunu Konak Halk Eğitimi Merkezi Müdürlüğü ile Okuma Yazma Kurslarının düzenlenmesi için , İzmir ili, Konak ilçesinde Mimar Sinan İlköğretim Okulunda 14 Şubat 2006 tarihinde başlamıştır. Okuma yazma kursumuz çok farklı ortamda ve değişik öğrenme tekniğinde yapılmaktadır. Bu konuda bizlere desteğini esirgemeyen, Halk Eğitimi Merkezi Müdürlüğü ve Mimar Sinan İlköğretim Okulunda ki müdür ve öğretmenlerine teşekkür ederiz. Bu kurslardan 68 bayan 2 erkek vatandaşımız, okuma körlüğünü yenerek diplomalarını aldı. Bizler için bunlar elbette yeterli değil. önümüzdeki çalışma Döneminde daha fazla Okuma Yazma Kurslarının açılması için çalışmalarımızı daha da yoğunlaştıracağız

İzmir Yamanlar Lions Kulübü daha iyi gelecek yaratabilmek ve bunu devamını sağlamak için, ISO 9001:2000 Belgesini almıştır. Yönetim anlayışında ki çağdaşlık, üyelerin katılımcılığı ile Lions çizgisinden ayrılmadan, ilke ve vizyonundan taviz vermeden, Toplam Kalite Yönetimi'nin gereklerini yerine getirecektir. 22.Kasım günü, kulübümüzün ISO 9001:2000 Toplam Kalite Yönetim Belgesinin tanıtım kokteyli Kaya Prestige Otelde Sayın Genel Yönetmenimizin ve Yönetim Çevremizin değerli üst düzey üyelerinin, kulüp üyelerimiz ve konuklarımızın katılımı ile barka vizyon gösterisi ile ISO tanıtımı yapılmıştır. UKAS QUALITY MANAGEMENT‘in Türkiye de ki yetki verdiği Independent European Certification Limited Ege Bölge Temsilcisi tarafından kulübe belgesi verilmiş, Sayın Genel Yönetmenimiz Ln. Nurgün Özkaplan tarafından da kulüp bayrağına ISO belgesi Peçi takılmıştır.

Barış Afişi Yarışması için 7 Okula yaptırılan resimler toplatılarak 23 adeti Yönetim Çevresine teslim edilmiş ve 21 Kasıım 2005 tarihinde jüri heyeti 632 eserin değerlendirdiği resimler arasında, BİRİNCİLİK ÖDÜLÜ Melis MARAVENT -Özel Deniz İlköğretim Okulu- İzmir Yamanlar Lions Kulübü’ne vermiştir. Mansiyon kazanan 1.Özge YÖNDEM - Yamanlar Lions Kulübü,11. Ece YÖNDEM - İzmir Yamanlar Lions Kulübü, 12.Kardelen KUŞÇU - Yamanlar Lions Kulübü, 13. Esra YÖNDEM - Yamanlar Lions Kulübü’ne verilmiştir.

İzmir Gürçeşme Lisesi’ne 15 bilgisayarlı Ln. Behçet Tunçok Teknoloji Sınıfı Yaptırıldı. Açılış 24.Ekim.2005 tarihinde Buca İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürü. Genel Yönetmenimiz ve davetlilerin katılımı ile açıldı.

Atamızın 125. yaş günü nedeniyle hazırlanan ve bu dönem 118-R Yönetim Çevremizde, ikinci kez yapılan Atletizm Engelliler Spor Şenliği'ne kulübümüz 3 basketbol topu, 3 voleybol topu, 3 futbol topu ve 1 adet görme özürlüler için çıngıraklı top alarak kendilerine hediye etmiş ve bu yarışlarda kendilerine büyük destek vermişlerdir.

Yönetim Çevresinin organizasyonun da çocuklar Anıtkabir'e götürüldüler. Kulübümüzde, çocuklarımızın mutluluğuna katkıda bulunmak için pilot okulumuzdan öğretmenlerin seçtiği 2 çocuğumuzu bu geziye gönderdik,

10 Aralık 2005 tarihinde Narlıdere Belediyesi Atatürk Kültür Merkezi Konferans Salonunda, İnsan Hakları Panelini Düzenledik. Panelin Konusu İnsan Haklarının Tarihsel Gelişimi, Yasama ve Yargısal Süreci, Kadın ve Çocuk Haklarında ki Gelişimi. Panelin Başkanlığını, İnsan Hakları? Komite Başkanı Atilla Kanat, panelist olarak ta TBMM İnsan Hakları Komisyon Üyesi İzmir Milletvekili Ahmet Ersin, İzmir İnsan Hakları Gündemi Derneği Yön.Kr. Üyesi Av. Mehmet Nur Terzi, Ana Hizmet Projelerinden Sorumlu AYKÜ Prof. Dr. Nezine Sönmez, İzmir Güneş Lions Başkanı Prof. Dr. Fikret Sönmez katılmışlardır. Genel Yönetmenimiz Nurgün Özkaplan, Yönetim Çevresi Saymanı Nasuhi Öndersev ve Yamanlar Lions üyeleri , Lions Konukları ve Davetliler katılmıştır.

Yamanlar Lions Kulübü Yamanlar Lions Kulübü SIGHT FIRST 2 programı şartlarını yerine getirerek, MODEL KULÜP olmuştur. 12 mart 2006 Pazar günü saat 10.30 İzmir Mavişehir EGS PARK bowling salonunda sabah kahvaltılı bowling turnuvası düzenlenmiş olup geliri SIGHT FIRST 2 kampanyasına bağışlamıştır.

Mayıs 2006 tarihinde İzmir Kaya Prestige otelde Kulüp 20. Genel Toplantısına Konak Halk Eğitim Müdür Yardımcısı Nafiz Ceylan davet edilerek İzmir deki kokuma yazma için neler yapılabilir ve neler yapılmalıdır diye brifing alınmıştır...

ISO 9001:2000 TOTAL QUALITY ADMINISTRATION CERTIFICATE

Why not only Quality Administration but Total Quality Administration?

Total Quality Administration is about every part of life. That is to say Total Quality Administration is a thought that can not be only applied at commercial companies, civil community organizations, and in public sector, it also can be applied at home. That is why Total Quality Administration is called a way of life.

On September 5, 2005, after the inspection of the Independent European Certificate Limited Company, İzmir Yamanlar Lions Club deserved to receive the ISO 9001:2000 Total Quality Administration Certificate. Our club is now ISO

9001:2000 certified. İzmir Yamanlar Lions Club is the third club to receive this certificate in MD118, also the first club in 118-R. There are 9000 companies and organizations that have ISO 9001:2000 in Turkey. Now we are one of them.

From now on, everything is going to be harder until we get used to the new procedures of ISO 9001:2000.Everything will be so much easier when we get used to writing and keeping documents.

Cocktail

On November 22, our Club held the cocktail party at the Kaya Prestige Hotel for the presentation of the ISO 9001:2000 Total Quality Administration Certificate. The certificate was given to our DG Ln. Nurgun Ozkaplan by the Aegean Region Representative of the Independent European Certification Limited.

GAD-GALA DINNER

İzmir Yamanlar Lions Club held the gala dinner for the teenagers that have been in Turkey through the International Youth Exchange Program who are hosted by both 118-R district and İzmir Bahar Lions Club.

This was also the first meeting of the İzmir Yamanlar Lions Club during 2005-2006.

Teenagers who are hosted by 118-R district had a very pleasant night at the Cuba Garden. Our club was very successful in this organization too. We also held our first meeting. We thank to our members who came and didn’t leave us alone and to Ln. Nureddin Durmus (Kavram Dershaneleri) and Ln. Sabri Guner (Sevilen Saraplari) who sponsored us by participating.

WE WERE AT THE CAMLI VILLAGE FOR THE WORLD LIONS SERVE WEEK

We completed one more of our activities successfully. On Friday, October 7, we attended the Health check-up program which was supported by our club at Guzelbahce Camli Village Elementary School. There were an ambulance and 4 doctors of the Doğa Medical Center for this organization which is held by İzmir Yamanlar Lions Club. They also helped by providing medicine to people. We thank a lot to those people who helped us and also to the owner of the Doga Medical Center, Dr. Ahmet Unlu and the staff member for their great support.

Our members, Ln. Onder Barcin and Ln. Erol Saygi, gave a brief education about tooth care to kids and provided them tooth brush and tooth paste. Ln. Onder Barcin and Ln. Erol Saygi have always helped and supported us in all our club activities. We appreciate their great support. Our president Ln. Turan Aras gave chocolate and candy bars to the kids. Secretary Ln. Erdem Şeneroglu and Treasurer Ln. Hakan Sarap helped us by recording and taking pictures of the activity. We thank Secretary Ln. Erdem Şeneroglu and Treasurer Ln. Hakan Sarap for their help. As you know we are an ISO 9001:2000 certified club, we have to keep documents for every activity. For that reason, we made a survey about this activity on 23 kids.

SPORTS FEST FOR THE DISABLED

It is our duty to help and support a person who doesn’t have the chance to do sports. What we have to do is not to leave them alone. We have to get together with them and motivate them. Not every help can be made by donating money. We have to boost them, get together with them and show them that they are not alone.

In Izmir, on October 17-20, 2005, 118-R district arranged the Disabled Republic Competition. Izmir Yamanlar Lions Club showed its support by participating everyday with all its staff members and by distributing sandwiches for lunch for two days.

LION BEHCET TUNCOK TECHNOLOGY CLASS

To support the needy in schools, Izmir Yamanlar Lions Club provided the Lion Behcet Tunçok Technology Class on October 24, 2005 for the use of the students who are attending Gurcesme High School in Buca, Izmir. The School Principal appreciated the support of The İzmir Yamanlar Lions Club and the things they provided for the Lion Behçet Tuncok Technology Class- 15 PC tables, 20 network connections, 15 PC tables and chairs, curtains of the classroom, painting of the room, etc.

Buca MEB Principal, PCC Behçet Tuncok and Mrs. Aylin Tuncok, our MD118-R DG Nurgun Ozkaplan, 1^st Region Chairman Mehmet Çelik, 5^th Region Chairman Nuray Subasi, 3^rd Zone Chairman Özgur Uğur, our İzmir Yamanlar Lions Club President Turan Aras, our Club Secretary Erdem Şeneroglu, our Club Accountant Hakan Şarap, school principals, teachers and students attended the opening.

We thank very much for the ones who always supported us during this opening- Gurcesme High School principals, teachers and students, 118-R district and its members.

IFTAR DINNER

On October 26, 2005, our club arranged an Iftar Dinner for 250 people at İzmir-Bayrakli.

As a Ramadan tradition, we should help for the needy and support them.

Our president could not attend this dinner because he was out of town. Treasurer Lion Hakan Sarap, Lion Erdal Tekan, Secretary Lion Erdem Şeneroglu and our other members attended the dinner. We thank all our members for their support.

HUMAN RIGHTS CONFERENCE

On December 10, 2005, we arranged the Human Rights Conference. Atilla Kanat, Ahmet Ersin, Mehmet Nur Terzi, Prof. Dr. Nezine Sonmez, İzmir Güneş Lions Club President Prof. Dr. Fikret Sonmez attended to our conference as speakers. Also from our club,our DG Nurgun Ozkaplan, DT Nasuhi Ondersev, Yamanlar Lions Club members and guests attended the conference.

DRUG ADDICTION

On December 13, 2005, we held our 8th general club meeting. in this meeting, Ahmet Ersin who is the member of Human Rights Committee in The Turkish Grand National Assembly attended as a guest speaker and informed our Club members the report of the Turkish Security Corp and United Nations about drug addiction. After this speech, İzmir Yamanlar Lions Club decided to work on a project to help avoiding drugs

Our İzmir Yamanlar Lions Club District Governor Visits

On Tuesday, November 22, It was visited in the working period of 2005-2006 by Lion Nurgün Özkaplan, the District Governor of MD118-R.

The patch of DG Lion Nurgün Özkaplan was stickled to our flag by Lion Özgür Uğur, the President of the Third Zone. Our 21 Club members and 27 guests were there during the visit.

WORLD PEACE POSTER

For the World Peace Poster Competition, 23 pictures were sent to our district from 7 district schools. Winners from İzmir Yamanlar Lions Club are
