1st March 2014 - Pictured above is a photograph from yesterday's Evening Leader taken at the recent Open Day at the Wrexham Millennium Echo Centre which is situated on the Former RAF Borras Airfield. Wrexham Lions are supporters of the center, Lion President Derek Edwards asked if it would be possible to assemble some classic cars for the event, after several phone calls various friends promised to bring their cars. On the day the sun was out and all who promised attended. The Mayor of Wrexham I David Bithell who was accompanied by The Mayoress Mrs Virginia Bithell showed great interest in the vehicles and spent a considerable amount of time discussing them with their owners. The Centre works with students of St Christopher's School, the students were tasked with obtaining information about the cars as part of their work, they had many questions and had an opportunity to inspect the cars at close quarters. Tea, Coffee and scones were enjoyed by all who attended. For a change the paper spelt my name correctly but totally messed up with Wolseley.
