"NEW LIONS YEAR" SEPT. 2013

Woolwich Community Lions have a new Editor for our Mane Tales (Bulletin) -- Past. Pres. Lion Linda Palmer. Lion Linda is doing a great job in keeping us up to date with what our club is involved in.

WE WILL BE HOSTING A DIABETIC BREAKFAST  MARCH 16th. 2013 We will offer a couple of speakers nurse, dietician. One of our local pharmacies will donate strips for blood testing. Our menu will consist of pealmeal bacon,hardboiled eggs, fresh fruit, toasts with peanut butter, variety of jams, milk, orange juice, tomato juice, coffee / tea. Donation to the Diabetic Association is appreciated. Time 8:00am.- 1:00.

Orientation night was held in Elmira Feb.12 th. hosted by Woolwich Community Lions.This was for all new Lions in the past 3 years. This was an excellant way for everyone to learn more about Lionism. Next orientation is in New Hamburg.

March 28th. saw our club take a bus to the Oakville Dog Guide Facility; where we had dinner, then toured the facility and saw all Autism Assistant Dogs graduate.

And on April 10th. 2011 we hosted a Hungry Man's Breakfast at our local Legion Hall, First Street, Elmira.  All proceeds were donated to "Kate's Kause" to help with their fundraiser to build a Playground for all children with special needs.

April 30th. saw our club help clean up Elmira by participating in a roadside clean up.  Oriole Prkwy, Whipperwill & Barnswallow Dr. will be free of litter when we are done.
