Woodland Host Lions participates in a number of projects, including:
- Literacy program in elementary schools – funded in part by the Lions Education Foundation (LEF) – Awards Scholastic Books gift certificates to elementary school students who participated in reading program (winner from each grade level drawn from tickets earned)
- Collect used eyeglasses that are refurbished (Folsom Prison Vision Project). Drop Off Locations:

- Sponsoring Boy Scout Troop 69
- Sponsoring Cub Scout Pack 1932

- Members are on the Boy Scout Cabin Board (a historical site)
- Woodland High School Scholarship for Journalism
- Support 4th & Hope with Christmas gifts and preparing meals
- Conduct a Multiple-District 4 High School Student Speaker Contest
- Yolo Family Service Christmas gifts
- Lions Special Kids Day (annual district event for special needs kids)
- Child Spree (annual community event)
- Conduct PlusOpitx eye screenings in local schools
- Woodland Food Closet
- Canine Companions for Independance
- White Cane Day (accept donations for vision programs)
- Outa-Sight Dinner (October)
