We hold many fundraising and social events and are very pround of the support from villagers who helped us along. We are a strong club that works hard to raise money and equally hard to ensure that it goes to genuinely worthwhile causes.
We try to donate money locally, whilst ensuring that we meet our obligations to give to the international causes, and we have donated to the following organisations, to name a few:-
British Heart Foundation, Action for M.E., Alzheimer's Society. Lexi Fund, Jerry Green Dog Rescue, Humber Rescue, Lindsey Lodge Hospice, Water Aid, St. Andrews Hospice, Hospitality Packs for the local hospital, Lions Bravery Awards at Scunthorpe General Hospital childrens ward, Dale Park Football Club, Blood Bikers, Winterton Men in Sheds, Motor Neurone, MND, North Lincolnshire MIND, Winterton Bloodwise, North Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, MacMillan and many many more.
We have raised in excess of £500,000 since the start.

History of Lions Clubs
The Lions Clubs are 100 years old this year and began in 1917 when a Chicago business man believed local businesses should expand their horizons from just professional concerns to the betterment of their communities and the world at large. The business circle of Chicago liked the idea and further explored the this through similar groups and at the first meeting the "Association of Lions Clubs" came into existence. Their first national convention was in Dallas in October 1917 and 22 Clubs from 9 states were there to approve the 'Lions Clubs'The establishment of the first Lions Club in Britain was some years later in London in 1950.
