The Winsted Lions Club has been serving the Winsted, Winchester Community for 50 years.

The Winsted Lions Club meets every 4th Wednesday of the month with July and August no meetings.

The meeting place is The Log House Restaurant on New Hartford Rd.(Rt.44) in Barkhamsted.  Meetings start aproximately 6:15 P.M.

Winsted Lions want to thank everyone who supported our club  over the years!  Thankyou to all the bussinesses that have donated items for our fundraisers over the years! Thankyou to all the people who have come out to our Palm Sunday Breakfast , Red Cross Blood Drives , visited us at our booth at Fall Foliage Fest on Main St. , bought flowers from our flower sales , tickets for the swell's carwarsh fundraiser , went on our casino trips , bought coffee and donought at saturday morning rec Basketball , filled our cans on sight saver days , donated their used glasses  , supported our Gilbert Leos Clubs ,and any one who gave Winsted Lions any other donations , and their time to help us out!!!!

All of the money given to us from the generous people of the town of Winsted has been put right back into this town. It has gone towards scholarships to Gilbert ,and NWCC Students , food for the helping hands Kitchen at St. James Church , purchasing Turkeys at Thanksgiving for families in need, assisting people in town with their low vision needs ,providing visually impaired epople in town with CRIS radios for their daily  use , getting the 10's of thousands of glasses collected in this town to Lions International for reconditioning ,and distribution , collecting thousands of new unwrapped toys at Christmass time for the children of Winsted , prviding the students at Gilbert the oppertuity to learn about community service through becoming a part of the Leos club , providing the students of own the oppertunity to express their vision of world peace by partcipating in Lions International Peace Poster Contest , volunteering our time to Beardsley memorial Library to their Home Book delivery Service , teh Winsted Rec Department for their evarious events and commitees , and offerin the oppertunity for the visually impaired to fish in a safe inviorment competively.
