Over the year we will be involved in the following projects:-

The Great Yorkshire Bike Ride takes place on 18th June 2022 and is organised by John Taylorson MBE.  We are involved in the logistical planning, management of the marshals deployed on the day and staffing of the rest stops and the finish area. To read more click here

Wetherby Duck Race has been postoned until further notice due to COVID-19.  The funds raised going to the Lions Charity Account which is used to support all sorts of local initiatives. 

Wetherby Lions Beer Festival has been postoned until further notice due to COVID-19.    Nevertheless, a donation has been given to Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Wetherby 10K Run takes place on Sunday 5th September, 202021 and is organised by Wetherby Runners. We assist with the running of the event on the day.

Santa's sleigh and Christmas in the Market Place - Santa's sleigh tours the streets of Wetherby enabling children to deliver their gift requests direct to Santa. He also visits the Market Place on the Saturday before Christmas, along with reindeers, carol singing, music and hot food, click here to see more.  The donations we collect are used to finance the Annual Senior Citizen's Party and Concert at the end of January.

Regular quizzes are organised throughout the year, each one benefitting a different charity, often with the involvement of the charity itself.
