The West Linn Riverview Lions Club was chartered in 1992 after serving as a Lioness Club since 1983. Our mission is to contribute to our local community as well as to help those in need in the greater community.
Melvin Jones founded the Lions organization in 1917 and since then Lions have strengthened communites through humanitarian projects and hands-on service throughout the world. During the convention of 1925, Helen Keller charged Lions with becoming "knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness."
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
