Westchester Lions Club Supports Food Pantry Fundraiser Souper Bowl Fundraiser
Members of the Westchester Lions Club turned out in mass to support the local Westchester Food Pantry at the group's annual Souper Bowl Fundraiser in February. Volunteer Lions Club members ladled Minestrone, Cream of Broccoli and Lentil soup to attendees.
For the calendar 2024, the Pantry served 6,259 client households, or nearly 19,000 individuals. In 2023, the Pantry served 5,995 client households. Forty five percent of the Pantry's clients were new to the Pantry in 2024. In October, 542 clients came through the Pantry’s doors to receive food, another new monthly high.

Tootsie Pop Day is May 6th and 7th, 2022
This sweet treat will help raise funds to support vision & hearing services and programs for both our Club and the Lions of Illinois Foundation.
Lions and volunteers will be visible throughout the communities on the first Friday and Saturday of May for Tootsie Pop Day! Lions will be giving away Tootsie Pops and accepting monetary contributions to be used in helping the visually and hearing impaired. It is almost impossible for those who can see and hear normally to fully understand what it is like to be visually or hearing impaired, but they can help through their support of Tootsie Pop Day.
People can show their support by giving generously, helping underwrite the price of a case of candy, or volunteering for a few hours on Tootsie Pop Day. Persons wishing to join the Lions in their fight against the effects of vision and hearing loss should contact the local Lions Club or the Lions of Illinois Foundation.
