Weedagana Lions club has been specialized in environmental projects. Every year, our club is organizing District Tree planting project commemorating the World Environmental Day.  Also, we are distributing hundreds of plants and trees to all Clubs in the District free of charge to be planted in school premises, in forests, grounds, reservation areas etc.

As prestigious and philanthropic Lions of Weedagama Lions den, we have devoted many humanitarian services and projects throughout the year.  We are focusing on various groups specially those who are under privileged people with many hardships & economic problems. With the intention of strengthen their lives, we are giving our helping hands to them by doing various help aids and campaigns such as distributing books and study kits for the children, giving dry rations for the poor people, serving breakfast for the school children coming from needy families, alms giving, health and blood donation campaigns and much more.  Apart from those, scholarships for the children, cash donations for kidney patients are done by us on monthly basis through our project account for years.
