Following are many organizations and projects that our members support:  (Note: click on highlighted words to see the Home page for that organization.)

* Fresh Start of Walnut Creek - provides support to the homeless.

* Sight Savers - provides exams and glasses to those in need - through the auspices of the Optometry School at UC Berkeley.

* Special Kids Day - an annual carnival for special needs children and adults.

* Two Centers for the Blind and Visually Impaired - one in Oakland and one in Pittsburg.

* Lions In Sight - collecting and processing donated eyeglasses from throughout California and other western states for distribution at clinics in Mexico and third world countries.

*  Student Speaker Contest - held annually for high school students - starting at the club level and proceeding through to the District, Area, and State levels - providing scholarships to the winners at these levels.

*  Lions Eye Foundation - providing eye surgeries partnered with the California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC)

*  Peace Poster Contest - annual contest for junior high level artists with winners at the club, District, and International Lions level.

*  Lions Clubs International Foundation - funding community service projects around the world.
