The Waunakee Lions Club and Foundation are part of an International Federation of Lions Clubs with the motto "We Serve". In addition to our broad focus areas of vision, diabetes, hunger, childhood cancer, and th envrionment, local Lions support numerous youth and community causes. One cause close to our hearts is to provide scholarships to students graduating high school and living in the Waunakee school district to further their education.

In 2026, four scholarships of $1,000 each are available.

The scholarships' basic criteria are that the applicant:

Live in the Waunakee School District
Be a 2026 high school graduate
Plan to extend their education through an accredited educational program
Have a GPA of 2.75 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
Complete the linked application

The successful applicants will receive their scholarship check at either the Waunakee High School Honors Night or by attendance at a Lions Club gathering thereafter.

All 2026 Lions scholarship recipients will be invited to speak at a Lions gathering after the scholarships are awarded.

Return an electronic copy of the completed application to the Waunakee High School Guidance Counselor's office by Friday, April 3, 2026.
