WAUNAKEE LIONS TO AWARD COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS
The Waunakee Lion's Club will present up to four $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from the class of 2024 who are living in the Waunakee school district and plan to extend their education through an accredited educational program.  Candidates for these scholarships must be registered as full time students in the Fall of 2024 at an accredited program of their choice.
 
Seniors interested in applying should contact Waunakee high school counselor Ms. Bonsett-Veal or a member of the Waunakee Lion's Club.  All applications are due by Monday, April 1.
 
LIONS CLUB TO RECOGNIZE LEADERS
Come out to honor your fellow Lions – you don’t want to miss it!  The Waunakee  Lions  Club  will hold its Awards  Dinner on Wednesday, March 20, 6 PM at Rex’s Innkeeper.  It’s only $25 for a fine meal of chicken or Swiss steak with all of the extras.  (You can opt to only eat from the salad bar at a lower cost.)  Prepare to pay for the dinner when you come to the event, but you need to sign up ahead by March 13   Sign up by e-mail to Lion Ted at:    tstweed456@gmail.com  The absolute deadline to be a part of this special meeting is March 13.  (If for some reason you can’t make the dinner, plan to come to Rex’s at about 6:45 or so for the program part of the meeting.) 
 
LIONS CLUB COLLECTS OVER 1,600 PAIRS OF EYEGLASSES
 
Over 1,600 Eyeglass Pairs Collected in Waunakee
Eyeglass collection boxes are currently provided at the following spots in our community: 

Fortify Bank, Hometown Pharmacy, Lake Ridge Bank, Madison Country Day School, May Vision, New Horizons, One Community Bank, Piggly Wiggly, Waunakee Public Library, Rex's, Shopko Optical, St Johns School, SSM Dean, Starbucks, Summit Credit Union, US Bank, Waunakee Village Hall, Waunakee Sr Center, Westport Town Hall
