LITTLE FORT LIONS STRIVE TO MAINTAIN AN ACTIVE CALENDAR OF ANNUAL EVENTS, WHILE RESPONDING TO OTHER NEEDS AND OPPORTUNITIES.

In January / February the Club holds a member social event, usually a theater-dinner activity.

In the Spring, our Club volunteers at NORTHERN ILLINOIS FOOD DEPOSITORY and/or FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN, and assists the Rotary Club and Waukegan School District with "EARTH DAY" activities in April,

In March / April our Club entertains applications from Sophomore and Junior Waukegan High School students to attend the WORLD AFFAIRS SEMINAR, which is held every June at Carroll University in Wisconsin with students from around the world.

Our Club usually meets at different outdoor venues during the Summer, participates in the Waukegan Independence Day Parade, and volunteers to assist at various community events (on-going).  We provide vision and hearing screenings at the Waukegan TOWNSHIP WELLNESS FAIR and the School District's "BACK TO SCHOOL FAIR".

A public event is planned in the Fall for the students whom we sponsored to attend the WORLD AFFAIRS SEMINAR in June.  The student panel shares their learning experiences and impact for their college preparation.

Our August / September participation includes a hot dog fundraiser, and support for HONDURANS SIN FRONTERAS LIONS "CHRISTMAS TOY COLLECTION".

In October, the LITTLE FORT LIONS participate in statewide CANDY DAYS to raise monies for services to the visually and hearing impaired.

In December, our Club hosts a DIVERSE LEARNERS HOLIDAY PARTY, with bowling, presents, prizes, pizza and a visit from Santa for diverse learners and staff in the Waukegan School District.

Additional opportunities for Club participation often occur throughout the year.
