Welcome to the
WASHINGTON LIONS CLUB
(Washington, Missouri)
YES, YOU TOO!!!
Can become a member of Washington Lions Club.
The Washington Lions Club is comprised of men and women who live or work in the Washington Area. These LIONS were all invited to join our Club because a fellow Lion member thought that they would be an asset to the Washington Lions Club through their service to the community.
The Washington Lions Club currently has over 178 members. The Club is the largest Club in our District 26M2 and the second largest Lions Clubs in the State of Missouri.
Our Club was chartered on August 28, 1939. The First Club president was past district governor Dr. Robert F. Zoellner with 36 years of service. Another charter member was John H. Feltmann whose son, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren are active members today.
The primary objective of the Washington Lions Club are sight programs and service projects for our local community; we still manage to have fun, even while working on these projects. We hold several functions throughout the year that are primarily social events and are designed to encourage camaraderie among members and their families. Evening steak dinners, annual fish fry, Christmas party, fair appreciation party, and scholarship banquet are some of the social events sponsored by our Club. Spouses, family and guests are always welcome and encouraged to attend.
Please feel free: to browse through our website. You can find information on who we are and what we do to practice our motto: "WE SERVE". Also, you can find information on the activities and events our Club takes part in, as well as a schedule of upcoming events.
OUR PROMISE TO YOU: 100% of the funds collected from the public are returned to our community, or Lion sponsored organizations through our charity projects and donations.
