UTSAV AZADI KA

A District Level Inter School Dance Competition on National Integration was Taken by Lions Club of Washim (32303) on 15^th August to mark the independence day (Utsav Azadi Ka).

The Program  was Inaugurated By Shri Vijaykumar Gawit ( Cabinet Minister  Maharashtra).

Our VDG1 District 323H2 Shri Dr. Ravindra Kulkarni and EX MLA Shri Rajendra Patni were present in the prog.

1 District, 720 Student Performers, 30 group dances, 20 schools and 2 Handicap Schools participated in this TALENT SEARCH project of our club. Total 5000 spectators from whole district were present including local media persons enjoyed the prog.

All 39 lion members with Lioness and Kids were present for 9 hour long prog. The total project Cost

Rs 60,000/- And  Donation raised from sponcerors was Rs 25000/-

Three Rotating Trophies were given to the Winners of the Competition.

1. Late Prof Damodarji Charkha Tropy for Handicap School Won by Adhar matimandh and Handicap School Kawtha.
2. Late Sau Niketa Hemal Gandhi/Vora Trophy for Group A(4^th std to 7^th std) won bySMT MULBAI CHARKHA English School washim.
3. Late Dr. Shivnarayan Toshniwal Trophy for Group B(8^th std to 10^th std) won by SHANTINEKETAN English School washim.

The spirit of patriotism and enjoyment was flowing in the environment were in all remembered the sacrifices of our patriots to bring independence for us.

The prog ended with satisfaction and  National Anthem sung by all.
