Kia ora Everyone,
Welcome to the Waitangi Lions Club.
Firstly, We are located in the Far North of the North Island, New Zealand. One of the most beautiful places in the world. We are in the Birthplace of the Nation. The first paliament was established at Okiato across the bay. The first settlers, wars and the treaty happened all here in the Bay of Islands. Many many more historic events happened here and coupled with the beauty of our area, we are all proud to introduce you all to the area.
Our Lions Club is only small in membership, but the members we have are committed.
We fundraise and help out in community projects, youth projects, national and international fundraisers. Although our club like many others may be low in membership at this time, together with the other clubs both locally and nationally each clubs efforts help towards the bigger picture of giving.
Lions International collect and disperse funding and help where needed when there are disasters all around the world. They work quickly and efficiently to give where they can.
We are all part of this.
If you are a visiting member from either locally or internationally and find yourself here in the Bay of Islands, please don't hesitate to call us or attend one of our monthly meetings.
If you are not a member but would like to know more, again just call or email us and we will contact you to come to one of our meetings or tell you a bit more about what we do and how you can help.
Everyone is welcome.
Regards
Waitangi Lions Club.
